✓ We do not sell or share your personal information.

This page exists because the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) gives California residents the right to opt out of the sale and sharing of their personal information. Even though our practice is to never sell or share personal information, regulators expect a dedicated page that says so clearly — this is it.

Our practice: we do not, and have not, sold or shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or any other purpose covered by the CCPA. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar services anywhere on the Platform. The data we collect is used to operate the Service for you and the contractor or property manager you work with — nothing more.

If this ever changes, we will update this page before the change takes effect and notify affected users by email.

What "Sell" and "Share" Mean Under the CCPA

The CCPA uses specific definitions for these terms. Here's what each one means in practice, and why neither applies to us:

Sell: selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating a consumer's personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.

→ We do not do this. The only "transfer" of personal information that happens is when we act as a data processor for the contractor or property manager you have a relationship with — and that is explicitly excluded from the CCPA definition of "sale."

Share: sharing, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating a consumer's personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising, whether or not for monetary or other valuable consideration.

→ We do not do this. We do not run any cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not share data with anyone who does.

What About Our Subprocessors?

We use a small number of third-party service providers to operate the Platform — payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), SMS delivery (Telnyx), CDN and bot protection (Cloudflare), and others. These are service providers under the CCPA, which is a different category from a third-party recipient of a sale or share.

Each subprocessor is bound by contract to use the data only for the specific purpose of delivering its service to us. None of them are permitted to sell or share the data, and none of them use the data for cross-context behavioral advertising on our behalf.

A complete list of subprocessors and what they do is in Section 6 of our Privacy Policy and Section 5 of our Platform Privacy Policy.
